A small, but growing source of income for GFGSA is through bequests. Although we acknowledge that our client base is not by and large a wealthy one, any bequest makes a powerful commitment to change the future for grandparents and grandchildren, hopefully for generations to come. All such bequests are dedicated in their entirety to benefit the services provided by GFGSA
We realise that the majority of grandparents would be likely to prioritise their grandchildren when the time comes, but there are still several ways that you can consider if you would like to help other families access our services and support, as we hope we have helped yours.
- You can donate a percentage of your estate
- You can donate a specific sum
- You can donate the residue of your estate, after loved ones are taken care of; or
- You can donate a specific asset
All that is required is a slight addition to your will, e.g.
“I give, devise and bequeath to Grandparents For Grandchildren SA Inc. (ABN 98 758 891 825) of L2 345 King William Street, Adelaide 5000, for its general purposes, free of all duties and taxes, (here please specify your gift e.g. the sum of $x, or description of specific asset). I direct that the receipt of the CEO or other proper officer will be a sufficient discharge to my Executor or Trustee.”
The leaving of a bequest is an extremely important step that should NOT be attempted without independent legal advice.
